Need something refreshing during a hot summer day? If so, you have to give kiwi slices a go! Kiwis are fur frits but they really, healthy vitamin and fibre rich food for your body. The moment you freeze these juicy babies they each transform into little super cool IcePop miracles, which help to stay fresh and happy in the hot weather.
Cut the kiwi into thin round slices to make frozen kiwi pieces. You have to cut fast, and carefully with the knife. After you have sliced the kiwis, arrange them neatly on a baking sheet or tray. Now it is time to place the tray in the freezer for a couple of hours. If you can hang on, then dream of what they will taste like frozen! Stick them in the freezer until they have frozen solid and then take out for a deliciously cool treat.
Well then spice up your frozen kiwi slices a little and take them to the next level. This can be easily done by placing some drops of lemon juice or a tiny amount of sugar over them. The lemon juice is there to sour the kiwi a bit making it tangy and bright, while sugar gives you a little sweetness to round out your flavor profile.
Another idea is to take these frozen kiwi slices and drop them into a glass of water. The slices would start to melt in the water by which it will release sweet and tangy flavour into the water. Which means you can have a delicious family friendly drink ready for even warmest summer days!
Kiwi Slices- For snack time, you can even consider giving your tot slices of frozen kiwis which they would enjoy in a fun and healthy way. Putting the frozen slices on a stick, like making popsicle or simply toothpick is another way of preparing this lovely and colorful kiwi slice skewer. If you would like to, you can also add some pineapple, mango, and papaya among other tropical fruits in there!
Sweet Treat: You love nothing more than a delectable treat, and frozen kiwi slices are an excellent option for dessert! For the yellow, you can drizzle with chocolate and then eat them as a frozen sweet snack (so it tastes like an indulgent treat). For a healthier option, simply blend the frozen kiwi slices to serve as part of your 5-a-day with a splash of milk and drizzle of honey for  delicious sorbet… suitable for all ages.
